Unable to mount a USB HDD

I'm using this router for a while now without any problem with Oleg's firmware on it. Now, I'm unable to mount an USB HDD which was working fine earlier. The disc is OK. I can access and use it on any other Linux machine. The partitions are formatted to ext3. The router sais the following:
    $ mount /dev/discs/disc1/part1 /tmp/mnt/disc0_1/
mount: Mounting /dev/discs/disc1/part1 on /tmp/mnt/disc0_1/ failed: Invalid argument

In the syslog I can see the following:
Feb 22 12:07:57 kernel: FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
Feb 22 12:07:57 kernel: FAT: bogus logical sector size 0

I have no idea what the hell it wants with FAT fs. If I specify the file system -t ext3 I got the same result.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi,

I got the like problem with mounting standard usb HD formatted by wengi.
In few instances I tried to access HD to quick, before scripts were run and finished, loaded.
In other cases, my usb HD didn't fit usb connector tight.

It helped to press it or to wait half a minute to have scripts finished.
I was very anxious about applications my wengi lost
and always started with mc to run, to see things are ok.

Just looking for an invention to support inserted usb HD by screws.

    Hi Darius,

thanks for your kind reply. Finally it seems that my router was confused from some reason.
I disconnected all the drives from it, rebooted, then connected and mounted them one by one. Now it works fine. I have no idea what has happened and caused this issue.

    Anyway, thanks for your help.
    Best regards,
    Blaise70

    Hi,

Google search for bogus logical sector size 0

Results 1 - 10 of about 11,600 for bogus logical sector size 0. (0.24 seconds)

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...earch&aq=f&oq=

So the problem is not Asus only related .
