Well, I am pretty sure it works this way but if you want to be sure, you're better off doing some googling because this is a pure USB2.0 question and has virtually nothing to do with the WL-500gx.

my HD enclosure runs at about 2mb/sec on USB1; fairly unusable

Have you tried it with the GX under USB 2.0? And I suppose the question would be if you also attached a printer would the disk box 'downshift' back to USB 1.1 speed?Originally Posted by jago25_98
They make USB 2 'switches'; websearch for 'cypress multi-tt USB'. This might be the solution; attach the printer through one of these, and the hub presents to the GX at full USB 2.0 speed so there's no downgrade.
