    DHCP lease

    hi,

i'm noob in linux and console commands.
i know how to get the list of processes -> ps.
but what i want to know and to configure is the dhcp lease.
is it possible to set it to never expire?
before i had a smc barricade 7004 where this was possible.
i don't want to define static ip's cause there are often people plugin in their pc's.

    thanks for any tipps.

Only thing you can do is manually assign with dhcp. That way your hosts will always get the same ip address from the dhcp server.

As far as I know you cannot set the lease for never expire.
