WL-500W w Samba 3 - smbd & nmbd doesn't run

Hi guys,

having problem that my WL-500W hasnt started smbd and nmbd processes. I installed Samba 3 by tutorial here: http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=...=samba3&page=2

Situation is following: when typing "ps axf", there I see no process such as a smbd or nmbd running. When running manually /opt/etc/init.d/08samba, output is following:

That's all, again: nothing in running processes.

When typing "testparm" it makes no errors, see the output below:

Yes, I did this. Router has been set by wengi's tut, link here: http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=10307, than instead of installing Samba 2 I followed tut for Samba 3 here: http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=10761

hmm... well... I dunno
I never had any problems with samba 2
and samba 3 never seems to work out that well on the asus routers
I ended up without a good compile of samba myself, therefor I think they can't compile it properly

otherwise just ask again in the gP part of the forum...
can't keep telling that enough, there are more ppl around there who might have experience with that issue

i have samba 3 for 6 month and it work fine with encoding and etc...but today i upgrade ipkg and...samba don't run now..no errors, no logs....no process

yeh, there is just something fishy about these builds
