I just had the same idea with a Card made by Longshine.
The problem is that i dont know the Kernel Version of the the Oleg Firmware and so i dont know if there is a driver for this cards.
Maybe we should try to reach oleg to answer our questions.
Ok, I'v bought recently Asus EEE 901 netbook which has a ralink 802.11n wifi capable of 300Mbps.
So I thought that maybe it's time to upgrade the miniPCI wifi module on my old WL500gP.
I'm thinking of SparkLan WMIA-199N (and adding 2 more external antennas).
Anyways, the question is: will it WORK on oleg's 1.9.2.7-10??
Will I have to install additional drivers??
(Madwifi ath9k supports Atheros AR9160 chip used on this SparkLan card).
Please HELP! I've been googling all day and can't find any reliable info.

good enough?kernel: Linux version 2.4.20
I'm still trying to compile a 2.6 version... but for some reason some things do not work on mipsel cpu's
I do recommend a wl500w tho
and the card from the eee pc only sends 135mbit, because it only has 2 antenna's
but it might receive 270 or 300mbit
haha, yes I know
but It's just... keep in mind that you might not be able to compile the drivers, or the drivers are not compatible...
and you will void your warranty
so if anything goes wrong, you might have spend a lot of mony
while you can sell ur wl500gp and buy a wl500w
If you really want to do this, try and compile it with the firmware first, would be a bit safer
