A Few Questions about my WL500GP V2 Premium

Heys,
I got a few questions about firmwares
I want a Firmware what i can use with Download Manager, a printer and a Webcam.
eventualy i want to lose nothing else of my features. Especialy not the download manager and the Harddisk.

I also want it to have a Read&Write option to my 500GB NTFS External Harddisk.

What firmware do you recommend..?? OpenWRT or Oleg..?? Are there other Firmwares..??

Unfortunately, your demands are mutually exclusive in current firmwares.

In a short words:
Download Manager is a property of ASUS, so only official firmware has it.
NTFS r/w - only linux 2.6 (OpenWRT) support this feature, but you will loose WiFi since Broadcom modules don't support newer kernel.
Better printer support is in Oleg.
USB Webcam support is really weak in all firmwares.

So i format my HDD to EXT3, no probs..
I can live without the printer support..
But can i have the webcam support and the Download manager? Plus the WiFi ofcourse..?

you can have everything (except ntfs writing) you want with the oleg firmware.

only thing is, you have to buy a compatible webcam (but the supported chipsets are cheap. there's a post in this forum with info about working / not working devices.. click here)

and, you loose the original download manager, but this can be replaced with ados, click here

cheap but hard to find
it took me 2 monts before getting one from italy, and I end up with something that doesnt work that good after all...
ah well... it's working for watching, but motion detection... better not count on that one

Okay,
I will install Oleg..
Than i still have HDD Support, Download manager from Ados, webcam support and have WiFi?

Is there drawbacks of the OLEG Firmware than the Original ASUS Firmware ( I have the firmware: 2.0.1.2)
And where can i download the latest Firmware of OLEG?

I Own a Asus WL500g Premium V2...
