Can anyone explain if it supports a lot of new modems or if it's just the usb_modeswitch feature that is added (which is useless without the actual modem driver)? I use a Option Icon 225 modem, which I still can't use in the Asus WL500W.

* web interface for usb_modeswitch with 18 predefined modems

As the Option Icon 225 uses the so called HSO driver I guess it's not supported in this release neither. I'll get a new modem instead of messing around with the Icon 225. Is there a compatible modem that you would recommend?
Hi thanks for the efforts.
I connected my Nokia 6120c hsdpa phone into my koppel koppel-WLHDD-1.9.2.7-9-USB-1.71 flashed WL-HDD but it ain't recognize my phone at all. Much less configure 6120c as GSM/UMTS modem. Logs says below:
Apr 14 11:26:47 kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:04.0-1, assigned address 14
Apr 14 11:26:47 kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=14 (error=-145)
I believe the driver and solution is already in Ubuntu because my Nokia phone is recognized and configured in seconds and ready to go as 3.5g modem (the phone shows it's in 3.5g mode). Speed is even faster than in Windows running Nokia PC Suite driver. OS X Intel/Amd also recognizes/configures the 3.5g phone as modem in seconds and it's in bsd code of which the drver code should be available.
Could you please consider including supporting hsdpa phone as modem just like in Ubuntu linux distro? Thanks a million.
