Resetting the UID counter

ALright,

I'm one o those guys who really likes to have things tiddied up. I've been messing around with my router and it's good but lately, my UID counter has been getting large and all the non-default users have been killed. How can I go about resetting the counter so that the next time I call tmpuseradd, I don't have to get a ridiculous number. I would basically like to set the current counter's value.
