Yes, this is expected. Looks like I'm was right - radius does not work with ASUS 1.9.2.7, thank you for your report. I will disable WPA2 back as it was in the 1.9.2.7-1.Originally Posted by solha
Just updated my WL300g with the new v.1.9.2.7 CR2 firmware and, as I use RADIUS authentication, I could no longer access the wireless network, but via ethernet I can access the AP, configure it via web and access it via telnet or ssh. The RADIUS server is not even contacted by the AP with this firmware. Nevertheless, the v.1.9.2.7 CR1 firmware works like a charm! Maybe I'm putting this message in the wrong forum, but as the WL300g forum is kinda empty and as Oleg offers also custom firmware for this AP, I decided to post this here.
Thanks in advance!

People, I've been having a problem not reported here yet, as far as I've read.
I've configured static ip's in the lan network and the lease time is set to 24h. Each 24h the computers in the lan lose their ip address and internet connection and get up again a few seconds later, but just long enough to drop alot of things from online availability.
Previously I used firmware version 1.8.1.3, but since I started testing/using firmware version 1.9.2.7-1 and now firmware version 1.9.2.7-2, this problem started to happen.
Thx in advance for any answer.
The error code returned by windows in the events logging:
Code:The IP address lease 192.168.1.2 for the Network Card with network address xxxxxxxxxxx has been denied by the DHCP server 0.0.0.0 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).
Do you've anything in the wl-500g logs? Most likely you've some other dhcp server on you network.Originally Posted by Raposo
I'll try to get the logs tomorrow, but I'm almost sure I have no other dhcpd in the network, and this problem just started to happen after using this firmware, never happened in 1.8.1.3, the one I used before this version.
Hi all,
First of all, I'd like to thank Oleg and others for their great work on the WL-500g.
Here is the strange thing I have detected : since I upload and use the firmware 1.9.2.7 CR2 [Oleg], I can observe this thing in the system log :
"Dec 30 06:16:41 kernel: lp_wait_ready timeout
Dec 30 06:16:41 kernel: lp_write timeout
Dec 30 06:16:46 kernel: lp_wait_ready timeout
Dec 30 06:16:46 kernel: lp_write timeout"
etc ...
A real flood from the LPR daemon when my printer is switch off.
And when I switch on my printer (Deskjet 920C), it prints, sometimes, without any request, this kind of information :
"PARPORT: DESKJET 920C"
Of course, In one hand, I don't want my printer to print thing alone ; And in the other hand, I want to switch off my printer when I don't use it.
Thank you for your support.
Ok, I will check on this, looks like debug output.Originally Posted by N3oXid

Oleg, now after I disable PPPoE Relay, the wl connects well, but the WL also restart very times... (17 times for now)
I do a downgrade to the firmware!
With fw 1.7.5.9-5 Oleg WL are working very well.

I had these messages in my syslog when I killed the lpr process using telnet. I happened to have a printer plugged into the parallel port that was off, and one plugged in the USB port that was on.Dec 30 06:16:41 kernel: lp_wait_ready timeout
Dec 30 06:16:41 kernel: lp_write timeout
I am having problems with a dropped connection w/ the new firmware, although I have a suspicion it is more from my broadband provider than from the router. I'll keep you posted on how setting to a fixed speed in the web admin tool works.
