Hello,
Not sure if this is possible but here goes the question.
Is it possible to use wl500gp as a modem for 3g usb connection for PC that is connected to ethernet port of WL500gp
I meant that ethernet port from wl500gp is connected to pc and pc should get ip address that isp provides trough wl500gps 3g connection "somekind of brige".
This is easy with adsl modem/router but what about if the connection is wireless 3g connection ?
We are looking for a backup internet connection for our vpn devices. And would like to use 3g connections as a secondary connection to internet.
Backup interface on our vpn devices is Ethernet that supports PPPoE and normal ip addresses.
Any advice is realy welcome.
Problem is that we need public ip address for our vpn devices.

Thnks for link. I have WL500gp with zadicom hdsp usb modem.
I can use this configuration fine with WL500gp as a gateway and with nat for pc behind it.
But i meant that is there any way to get public ip from ISP to pc behind wl500g
Now the public ip is put to ppp0 interface of WL500gp i would like it to pc that is connected to lan interface of wl500gp. (so then wl500gp + hdspa usb would be like a "modem" for pc) Same kind of connection as a ADSL modem in bridge mode where pc gets ip straight from ISP.

I think it is not possible in an easy way - but why you do not forward the needed ports?
Because then it would have the same behaviour as when you get external ip to an internal device (PC) and it is not that dangerous.
