    cant find USB HDD

    Hello, I just upgraded formware to Oleg's. On the original fw before the HDD was visible correctly (formatted to ext2) after upgrade there is no hdd visible :

    This drive have 2 partitions.

    Could you pplease help ?

    Oleg's fw doesn't support ext2, only ext3

    i thought, but I didnt find the info anywhere.... is there some possibiliy to format the hdd directly from router linux to ext3 ? Dont you know about driver to WIN? I have only ext2 driver installed. Thx man

    hmm dont know how create partitions for swap, opt etc. HDD is 300gb

    mke2fs -j creates ext3 fs.

    Had the same problem (with 2.5inch portable HDD Samsung G2). For me, the solution was to Hard-wire the USB supply lines, bypassing the USB supply filter.
    If one doesn't want to open the WL500, a "powered" USB hub could also be a solution.
    For me, the 2.5inch HDD is a substitute for a 3.5inch, saving power and an additional power-supply.
