    Just downloaded it.
Makefile says it can build these images:
    Code:
    images:
    	make images-WL500gx
    	make images-WL500g
    	make images-WL500b
    	make images-WL500bv2
    	make images-WL300g
    	#make images-WL331g
    	#make images-WL331gl
    	#make images-WL500gl
    	#make images-WL500bl
Now it's up to Oleg and Antiloop to see if there are (major )improvements

Well, now it's time to ASUS to release official 1.9.2.6 firmware with the list of changes...
At the moment I've checked et driver and a workaround for wan port dies issue. It's ugly, they just reinitialize iface if there are no packets received during some time after transmit... This could lead to missed packets with unidirectional udp traffic...

Does this source code include the recently announced features?
Since they announced the new features a week ago, shouldn't there be a corresponding firmware somewhere?
There's a recent firmware released for the 500gx, but it is rev. 1080201...

Well, as long as they don't publish it shouting they fixed the WAN die problem...

    Not Bad !
Quick Start Guides, Firmwares und Speaker List.
Giving it a try now, hope its as good as is should .

Oleg: I´m now Lawjer, but i think minor binary updates are allowed when the source follows in a later package. But it would be nice to get Diffs of the latest releasese from Asus. Would definitively reduce theyre and our traffic.
Maybe Antiloop can talk to them.

Can this still be changed with the "/usr/sbin/wl -i eth2 txpwr nn" command?

idiotic fw, definitly... one of my 6 units i used for test(fully functional),flashed with new asus dummy release, and what?

after exactly 2 minutes of booting in client mode, unit just hangs with wifi
it just stop to emitting anything on eth2.

after that, re-flashed with 1.8.7.3 and it started, but everything was same

and after few reset`s and hardware resets, few flashing and i-dont-know-how-much-trys, it only wants to work with wds mode but with poor speed (50-100k)

    what to do?
    My network gear: 6 (six)ASUS WL-500G....3(three) LINKSYS WRT-54G...2 (two) LINKSYS WET-11....2 (two) PHEENET WAP011...PHEENET 108G...4(four) PCI Prism 2.5....3(three)PCI RTL8180....2(two)PCI ACX100(Ti chipset)....PCMCIA PRISM 2.5 200mW....PCMCIA PRISM 2.5 100 mW...few 8 port switches 10/100...new stuff D-Link DWL2000AP+,PHEENET WAP011RT,

    Hi

Update worked fine and Router runs smooth, just as a note.
Im still angry that they changed the uptime value display in such an ugly way...

It can still be changed through the Web Iface and is set to 19. Whatever they mean with reduced range, it seems to happen at the driver level. Maybe the driver calculated the power setting wrong in older releases. Maybe oleg can diff the drivers.

Im just curiously, what do you do with SIX of them, do you just habe too much time and money or do you build some nation-wide hotspot (would be cool ). Hmm, FLash some older firmware 1.5 or so, and try again. It COULD be a hardware problem with the wifi, but i never heared about a trustworthily note describing software killed a wlan card ...

Six pieces means that i have SIX , I just took one of them and flashed. Why I have six pieces, because my wifi organisation have wifi network over my city, and I in my place have 6 500g for my part of city.
