Hi, there, I am just wondering, if there is any soft for e-bay bidding available for WL500gP (linux) like for example -http://www.merlinsoftware.com/auctionmagic/downloads.htm

I need to keep my PC on for a long time just for bidding....

Can this be installed on WL500gP http://www.jbidwatcher.com/ ?

I did not get the proxy configuration line...

I refer to- http://esniper.sourceforge.net/esniper_man.html

I have created the /opt/etc/esniper.conf as per above and trying ro run the command like

[root@WL-500gP]$ esniper /opt/etc/esniper.conf

I am having this error-

Auction 300190782XXX: Cannot connect to URL : Failure when receiving data from the peer: Received HTTP code 501 from proxy after CONNECT.

I did try both proxy proxy = http://192.168.1.1:80/ and proxy = http://192.168.1.1:8080/ -same result...

Any idea what is wrong here?

You don't need to configure settings for proxy server.

here's my esniper.conf


batch = false
bid = yes
debug = disabled
reduce = y
logdir = //tmp/harddisk/esniper/log/
password = yourebaypass
username = yourebayuser
historyHost = offer.ebay.com
prebidHost = offer.ebay.com
bidHost = offer.ebay.com
seconds = 10

It works like charm.
