Thread: Connect SATA Drive to WL-HDD?

  1. #1

Question Connect SATA Drive to WL-HDD?

I´ve got an Hitachi HTS721010G9Sa007200rpm 100 gig sata drive.

Is it possible to connect this drive to the wl-hdd?

I guess you can use it with a HDD 2.5" enclosure for SATA and then you connect it through USB port. (Out of the router box)

Also, if you can fit something like this... or even smaller... (USB 2 SATA/IDE)

BTW, you should use that beast in a notebook, because that HDD is pretty fast. Don't waste its performances in a slow and bottlenecked environment like WL500g router.

Does 2.5" SATA hdds really use the same connector as 3.5" ? I'm just curious, as I've never seen one.
