iptables to port forward to a server

I have a server in my lan that I have set up as a file server and torrent server.

I have a html ui for the torrent on port 6886 that I want to make available externally.

I tried adding this to the post-firewall, but it's still not viewable externally:

    iptables -I FORWARD -p tcp --dport 6886 -j ACCEPT
    iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i vlan1 -p tcp --dport 6886 -j DNAT --to-destination
Any ideas why this didn't work?

just add it to a virtual server in the web-IF

    otherwise add to post-firewall only:

    iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -d $2 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 6886 -j DNAT --to-destination

i've tried adding it in the normal webui, and it comes up as a blank page.

It even prompts me for the username/password like it should. But once I submit that, just a blank page.

    How does one diagnose this?

BTW - it's azuerus with the webui in a headless configuration.
