Adding HTTPS to web admin iface

    Hello,
I've made it trough the most of the setup without problem. Now would like to
    put web interface into https.
I've did it with lighttpd, but not all asp files from admin interface are parsed properly.
I'm unsure if I can put the base http server in https mode and which files i need to modify in order this to happen.
Can someone point to a URL/share how this is done?
    Thanks in advance!

another option would be to use ssh tunnel to access web-IF. It is also a secure way, but a bit more universal, as you can use it to access different services in lan with minimum settings, e.g. built in httpd, or remote desktop on PC in lan.
