Thread: sip proxy

  1. #1

    sip proxy

Would it not be nice if we can bring a sip proxy to the wl500g ?

I would like to use 2 or more SIP providers and connect them to some internal SIP clients.
For Dial-Out I want to use a prefix to select a provider
For Dial-In I want that some clients a ringing

Are their more people which are interessted in this and maybe are more linux experts than me ?

    Thx
    Andi

don't know about this particular firmware but there is siproxd package for openwrt, I have compiled my own version too(again for openwrt, which use uclibc 0.96)

i'm starting now to investigate the possibility to compile Asterisk on the wl500g to create an embedded proxy/pbx and (hopefully) to support usb phones...

if you are interested contact me

    Here! I'm interested!!!!!!!
But: is the WL500g "big" enough? I think it is too slow for *.

    JockyW,

Did you sucessfully try openwrt with the asterisk_1.0.3-2_mipsel.ipk ?

I still would prefer a binary for Olegs firmware. Has somebody tried to compiled asterisk ?

    Many Thx

    It runs, but not 100%
Asterisk loads it own plugins (.so files), that's the only part which doesn't work

I've tried to compile it, but there is some trouble (alsalib). Didn't have time to sort it out. Shouldn't be that difficult. Would be cool a pocketsize PBX
