WL-500g + WL-500W (Bridged/WDS mode)

Hey guys,

I've been using Oleg's firmware for some years now on my great 500g router. I still believe this router fulfills most of my needs, except maybe a better coverage and USB2.0 support.

Today I received my new WL-500W, which should fill all of those needs, including draft-n (and later on final 'n').

After updating my 500g to latest Oleg's firmware (1.9.2.7-7g), I did the same with 500W, albeit with the original firmware (1.9.8.5, because afaik, Oleg's not as stable as it should be.

I tried almost every possible settings with my 500g/500W setup to have a bridge connection, transforming my 500g into a repeater for extended coverage.

Host: 500W (set for HYBRID mode, channel 11, 802.11g Only, Open Key - No Protection, Default IP to 192.168.1.1, MAC Address of the 500g on Remote Bridge List, MAC Address of the 500g for static IP (192.168.1.2) - manually assignment by DHCP) and MAC Address of the 500g set for "Accepted" wireless connections).

Repeater/WDS: 500g (set for HYBRID mode - tried WDS only - no luck, channel 11, 802.11g Only, Open Key - No Protection, Default IP 192.168.1.2, DHCP server off, MAC Address of the 500W on Remote Bridge List).

I've tried almost every possible configuration, with/without WEP/WPA, with/without same SSID, with/without different channels, with/without DHCP on the repeater on, and more..

I'm really not the kind of person that asks before reading, and I've read several guides, threads and tips on to setup this, and still no luck, so I guess it's something obvious eheh (like fw compatibility).

Are you sure you used the MAC-address of the WiFi-cards and not the one from the sticker being the 'modem'-connection?
That fooled me the first time
