i get the exact same problem
Has anyone tried serving file over 50MB using ftp or nfs on the wl500? My device reliably locks up every time I do a large wireless transfer from the usb hd(or /dev/zero) so it's mainly a throughput issue.
Any ideas on work-arounds? The router does not hang if I do the transfer over ethernet.
i get the exact same problem
I have wireless (Vista, + 2x XP) 3 clients hooked up to my wl-500w. After a few hours of work the router hangs up and needs to be resetted.
Version 1.9.8.5 and 1.9.8.8 tested.
A powercycle of the router solves the problem, but after a few hours again, I have the same problem.

Hi maybe try the new firmware from oleg. You can download it by this link: http://oleg.wl500g.info/1.9.2.7-8/
Hi, I have the same problems. Large wireless FTP transfers lock up the wl500w router. Wired FTP transfers work.
The same happens with DD-WRT firmware (http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtop...hlight=#153735)
With original firmware, the FTP transfers work ok.
I think it has something to do with the broadcom radio.
Any solutions?
