I had that problem, too while running BT and 1.8.1.2a firmware.
Setting "Connections to track" to 3000 fixed it for me. At leats it didn't happen since then.

This message is normal, for DSL connections. Since you have capped your
MTU to 1450, it is no wonder that the MTU can not be set to 1500
:D
Sounds like the infamous MTU problem to me. Check if your MTU is set to 1492 or less. There is an option somewhere in the GUI.
