I'm having some trouble with the 7x-branch of the firmware.
I used the 6b-firmware for a long time without any problems. After upgrading to 1.9.2.7-7f, the (external) DHCP (getting an IP from my...
Worked around, by setting a 200 kb/s download cap (using bandwidth management in the new firmware) for port 80 only.
Of course I could use a download manager, but when it takes an hour to download 5.5 megs of data, I'd look for more mirrors.
Geez, these mirrors are slow and tend to break connection when your halfway. Could someone please post a mirror?
Finally had some time to test a few things.
Setting preamble to short (or long) didn't make any difference.

But I only need to download it once :P to take a look.
I'm tried to download it, but it stopped at 87% 2 times now. If somebody was able to download the file without trouble, I'd like a mirror ;)
As soon as I've got my Linux box back, I'll start making custom firmware. Trouble is, it'll take a while before my box is back ;)
Ah, then I was wrong after all. ;)
So what you're actually saying is that implenting wondershaper is more a matter of the kernel becoming too large when fair-queueing (and etc) is compiled?
I guess that in theory it is possible to add wondershaper, BUT, it requires a kernel with extra options.
As far as I know, Asus is witholding the kernel source they're using, so we can't recompile...
