the wireless strenght is vey below satisfaction, in WPA Personal modus with tkip or AES i dont get any connection. and otherwise the conection i wil get is around 1 mbit connection. even wityh...

i tested tomato firmware, but the wireless function sucks.

yes it is possible by the the wl500g-clear-nvram.trx and the wl500g-recover.trx. available on this side after this you have to flash your wl500gp with the firmware you need. all by the recover mode....

Theo 1.9.7.5 is out from asus, i think that you can use that firmware if you don'like oleg's firmware. But look out in olegs firmware there are no fancy things like download station.

i think you better can calc on it 11mbit/8=1.375 mbit theoretically. on usb 1.1 (beneeth the 2 mbit).
But with overhead i think you on the maximum download speed for usb 1.1

it's no bug. one of the two cards is the master card in the pc, en that is the card you set as first. That card will be used.

because of the poor wireless connection on asus original firmware, i flashed oleg firmware on this router. But still my old wl500g has an better wireless range than the wl500gp. Who also noticed this.
