I still can't build Transmission :( The natpmp was updated today so I thought I'd give it a try. It still builds ok natively on Debian. Could it be that a newer version of the toolchain is needed?

I never had reason to complain on dl speed.

The last couple of days I get a compile error when trying to cross-compile Transmission trunk. It builds with no problem natively in Debian. Please help!!

And today, in r6820, they implemented compression of the json data and web ui data to further speed things up.

I cross-compiled it for my Maxtor Sharede Storage II. Don't know if it works on your machine.

But Clutch loads very fast now :) No error messages so far.

It seems that after they changed to using evhttpd yesterday Clutch works well again :) No more errors for me at least. I now run trunk revision 6804.

I don't think it's possible to affect timeouts through any settings. Would be best to discuss with the devs on irc. I didn't do it yet because I don't currently need the web ui myself. But I think...

Since I started using rpc enabled versions I see "Connection failed" message quite often. Some times it shows directly after ui is loaded and before torrents are displayed, some times it shows after...

About why it dowsn't start at reboot - I found out that you have to start it with -g option to show where it's "home" is, ie. where settings file etc. are.

That old stuff doesn't work with 1.31 because transmission now uses other methods (JSON) for communication. Use transmission-daemon with the bundled web-ui or the transmission-remote command. Read...

Ok so transmissiond has more features. I didn't know that. I can just exclude transmissiond in the makefile so build doesn't break.

This is now solved in Transmission trunk. So I can keep on compiling these "betas" :)
Btw, are you maybe planning to remove transmissiond when transmission 1.3 is released? I don't see what use it...

I'm on Lenny (testing) where only 0.40 is available. I'll try to install it from Etch repo. The issue is reported to Debian package maintainers btw. It breaks many things.

It happened that the version I wanted now became available in optware. But it would still be nice to get a solution for this problem.

This is a known problem on Debian and Ubuntu, and just now someone said that it's same on Arch Linux. When checking for intltool, the file intltool-update.in is checked.
