Managed to solve this problem after trial & error!

For the database name, i used 'localhost' instead of leaving it empty.

Make sure you uncheck "Create a new database".

I did a re-install of all the packages for torrentflux, re-did the setup to complete all the database and stuff but came to the same empty login page.
