Great!!!
Will give it a try to compile it..
For now I indeed expect that this is not possible... I don't think I'm capable of backporting this to 2.4...my coding skills are not good enough for that ;)
I compiled the modules for another linux...
Hi,
Is there any chance to get CH341 (cheap Chinese) serial adaptor working under wl-500g.
I can see for the 2.6 kernels there was success https://code.google.com/p/wl500g/source/detail?r=2899
...
Yep, my mistake... I wrote gateway mode... I mean: Access Point mode.
You cannot access it as in Home gateway mode the firewall is active, as it now sees the wireless as WAN link, it is firewalled...
bummer... I have good-old wl-500g.. no DD-WRT for that one yet
what type off application are they running to make it 'fon' aware?
Would it be possible to extract this application so I can run it...
First of all I would start as basic as possible, than add security: to setup switch-off temporary WEP & MAC filtering stuff. Once you have it working switch it on 1by1. This way you know where is...
Yes, that is what I mean. So if your printer is normally working with the wl500g than in client mode it also works
Me thinks that if your HP Laserjet 6MP is working when it is connected to a wired Wl500g, you can use it as a WLAN printserver.
Just configure it as to mode (in systemsetup-Operation mode):...
I have 2 wl500g. 1 is setup in Gateway mode + Extended Mode:Ethernet Bridge. The problem is that every so many minutes the connection dies.
I used the same wl500g in normal AP mode, at that time it...
Anyone already been able to apply the 'FON' (http://www.fon.com/) firmware to the wl500g. It is designed to run on the linksys box I would think that our box is also capable of running this.
I...
Hier het zelfde probleem met casema.
wan verbinding valt weg, en lastig om een nieuw IP te krijgen. geen meldingen in de log. :( klote casema...
The tunneling is very easy. but not done on the router side, but on the client side.
In putty (ssh client) go to the SSH->Tunnel tab
the source port is the port you want to connect to locally
...
Well, go to the terminal screen of your box (with telnet) than execute:
ifconfig eth2 down hw ether aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff
ifconfig eth2 up
Replace aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff with the MAC address you...
mmmmmm not sure.
What definately works is to run during the booting
ifconfig ethX hw ether xxxxxx down
ifconfig ethX up
replace xxx with mac, replace ethX with right eth port
Interessting enough, the chipspec said: USB 1.1 whereas the marketing has 3x USB2.0.
Would this be a special AUS version, or they added a separate USB2.0 chip?
Any idea's what about the memory?
Instead of setting your interface with iwconfig, you use wl command.
executing wl provides you with a [long] list of options
[admin@wifi /opt]$ wl
Usage: wl [-a|i <adapter>] [-hu] <command>...
or try colinux, you can compile in your linux box while running windows.
And the best part... its free & no need to reboot, and in some cases faster than vmware
Hi RCR, thanks for your bins.
It seems to work just fine for me.
Only had to edit the paths in the ini file and it works
No not a problem to hack it :D
Takes about 30 seconds to get access to your network for someone who knows what he is doing...
As well as your passwords (e.g. email, FTP etc) are plaintext over...
I sucessfully compiled some programs on the Wl500g itself.
Go to the uClib site and download the rootsys.
Mount it in your Linux distro (I couln't get it to mount on the WL500g itself)
Than copy...
Bump...
Is it possible to publish the binary?
Argh, I'm in China atm and they are blocking sites here like hell, so a encrypted proxy @home would come very handy.
take the config file out of the PHP3 package
than take the thhtpd+PHP4 file.
edit the script with your desired directories. dump some files in the www directory (from config file)
run
thttpd...
Ok and here is the (almost)full version.
For me to sucessfully run it I have to add some swap space
With this one I sucessfully run some of the nice scripts like Gallery & phpsysinfo
Good luck
Ok, here is a working minimal build of the PHP4 enabled thhtpd
The extensions are mostly disabled now, I'll see if I can build one that is more 'feature enabled'
