My previous sentence meant the HD was not spinning up because it is possible at that time PS3 was not connected to the...
Ciao Marc,
atm I am not using your hack, and I perfectly agree I there should be a reason for everything but I am not able to find it!

ciao guys,
is there a way to add a command in rc.local so that mldonkey is started in low priority mode?
well it continues happening to me...this time rebooting didn't solve.
Anyway I think this happens when you stress to much mldonkey which uses then CPU, Ram and HD access.
The latter is...
by your experience is uShare better than Twonky?
ciao K.C.,
I think the "problem" is releated to a too heavy disk access: today I was copying big files from one folder to another by terminal and could not login with sancho to mldonkey.
As soon...
This happened again...It's getting annoying...is anyone experimenting the same problem?
Recently I had to reboot my Asus as Twonky was extremely slow: jitter when playing movies, really slow when trying to play a song (like 1 minute before starting!).
After rebootin everything was...
I have the same problem. If you change permissions with chmod 666 you can't still delete files.
Only way seems to log as root and delete them. :-(
Marc,
is it measurable the power consumption of WLAN module? i.e. how much energy is saved switching off WLAN?
ciao Marc,
I usually use wired connection for my laptop, while I use WLAN for PS3 with WPA2-PSK.
When I turn on PS3 and it connects to the router the HD doesn't spin up (do you remember my post...
I am not really an expert of these things...what are you speaking about?:-)
Ciao guys,
do you know if it is possible to connect over internet to our router?
Like ssh, Sacho for mldonkey...it would be nice to check emule downloads remotely!
ciao Marc,
I have KFurge FW, and in rc.local I have exactly the same parameters you have (or at least posted) in yours.
I was managing movies actually, i did not try with music or pics but that...
I found an interesting hint yesterday night: it seems Twonky can't work properly if the HD is in sleep mode.
What happen my PS3 can't recognize proper media format, thus "unsupported file format"...
thanks anyway Marc!
Twonky seems to work fine with PS3 although somtetimes I have DLNA server errors.
Up to know I resolved simply rebooting PS3. It would be nice to understand weather the...
ciao guys,
I had the same problem and tried to solve as sonic suggested.
I added a couple of lines to rc.local in order to open IPTABLES, reboot the router and mldonkey can get high id now.
...
I have just installed and configured 4.4.5 too.
Next week I will find time to test it with PS3. If I will be happy of it I will but Twonky

I have to figure out how to configure it now! is the a manual somewhere?
ciao Marc,
i followed your steps but what I get when I try to run ./twonkymedia is
/opt/lib/libpthread.so.0: no version information available (required by ./twonkymedia)
