Well, it depends on what you mean by that.
As being compliant to the APM standard specs, Maxtor drives have support for all APM related operations, including spin-down. Their latest USB HDD drives...
Mmmhh ... I did all of that, with the HDD being directly connected to the PC through the IDE cable, let me summarize:
- hdparm does not allow to make any permanent change to APM (and other)...
