if you want to "address" file in current directory, it is recommended to use ./file.ext instead of file.ext (put ./ in front of filename)

no vendor found, so some...
OpenVPN will probably do the job, but major problem will probably be non-permanent WAN IP address
Edit: oh sorry, I mis-looked, if cable modem has permanent IP, so setup WL-500g to have WAN...
try "1000:2000" instead of "1000-2000" ;)
did you end every change before reboot with commands
flashfs save
flashfs commit
flashfs enable
?
so what now? which firmware is the latest for WL500g recommended?
1] As I know, there's no ping response
2] try restore utility directly with latest firmware
Oleg thanks for kicking my ass "the right way". I've never said, that your firmware sucks or something similar against it. All I need was some advice and you gave it to me - so thanks, now everything...
Here is a part of log what I get after upgrade to CR9
Jan 1 01:00:14 kernel: lp driver: get device ID
Jan 1 01:00:14 kernel: neg fail
Jan 1 01:00:14 kernel: neg fail
Jan 1 01:00:20...
Just FYI (asap I'll have some time I'll upgrade again and paste the errors from system log for you Oleg)
Upgraded from 1.9.2.7-7g to CR9. I've saved my old settings and FlashFS. After flashing CR9...
Question for Oleg:
Hi Oleg, is there any possibility that you put in your firmware any "easy configurable" WLAN watchdog? I'm experiencing occasional lock-ups, reboot is the clue then.
So what...
try to ping directly IP od google.nl to see if it's DNS error ;)
ping 209.85.135.147
look at "xinet.d" configuration - there's a file where is stored the service name and default port also for vsftpd
yes, but you must take note of this worst situation - otherwise your asus may occasionally reboot...
teoretically if you'll have batterypack with specification 5V / 2000mAh you'll be able to use Asus for approx. 1 hour
but the pack myst be able to supply 2A :)
try this

I think that there's a command / variable you must set in your router to "repair" this garbage. I saw it in this forum anywhere. Maybe it will help you.
I've installed heatsinks on all hot chips (3 big + 2 voltage regulators as I can remember) - not needed, but no one knows... :)
probably overflowed CONNECTION TRACKING
look at INTERNET FIREWALL -> BASIC CONFIG -> Number of connections to track: (bottom of that page)
should be probably some insurance diode - when you look at "center pin" of power outlet, you can see another one "connected" to ground? (on the picture it's "under" your "hot-wire")... so check this...
PC has more memory than your ASUS...
Is it possible to make some changes so this thermometer will work on WL-500g?
http://i.iinfo.cz/r/photos/zapoj.png
beware, there's probably mistake in this wiring - PIN 1 and PIN 14 shouldn't be...
and what about if that problem is in "stanby" (not in router) - as I know a lot of devices in notebook will not always work as expected after "standby"
is this usable for "WL-500g" also? Any "USB1" speed improvement?
heinz - what about to have look inside WL-500g, there should be some "safety" diode. So by its polarity you should be able do decide where the "+" is ;)
edit: and if not, there should be some...
