Hi Oleg & Forum!
I update my router the new firmware (v1927-6a), and I see in log the connect time is wrong:

Sorry for my wrong english, and THX the quality firmwares, good work Oleg!

This is due to time wrap, caused by ntp. Ignore this.Quote:

Everyone affected with this issue and experienced reboots/locks/disconnects/ping problems should try it.
macsat: try with emule
int, jbk: try using it
catdog: try fix speed set to auto
guch79: check for wan port dies
AiKoiN: try this firmware

Reset problem: Fixed
When i have test ftp server and samba, and the WL make one "restore default / reset"
I have discovered, that samba is now binding to all interfaces. 1.9.2.7-5a did binding only on LAN, but now it tries to find browsers even on WAN.
I thing all users who care should add following to /etc/smb.conf:Code:interfaces = br0
bind interfaces only = yes
Since i switched to 1.9.2.7.6a.2 and put the "WAN Connection Speed:" = 10Mbs half duplex, my wl500g never crashed/reboot/reset again. If i put in "auto" i will have problems again and the internet connection will be very slow.
Should i switch to 1.9.2.7.6a.3 to see if it works fine or should i stay in 1.9.2.7.6a.2?
Hi Oleg,
there is a problem with WL-HDD and firmware 6a.2 and ethernet speed set to AUTO. I cannot stream to harddisk without errors or dropouts because network speed seems to be slow. Configuration is unchanged.
If i set ethernet speed to 10 half everything seems to be ok.
Hello Oleg,
there is a problem with connection, ''firmware 6a.2'' , dropouts evry 15-20min. I`m back to 1.9.2.7-5a , WL500g runing 24/7 without any problems.
Tried with WPA-PSK and TKIP. But it does not work.
Trying 1.9.2.7.6a.3 since 2 days with wds and heavy upnp mediaserver traffic. No reconnects until now - after problems with the other releases of 1.9.2.7.6xxx this is the first real stable version for me....
ciao,
JBK
I went back to version cr5a after having problems with wireless connection
loss and dropouts with cr6.1 and cr6.2, then in version cr6.3 I had no wan connection at all, I`m using adsl pppoe. cr5a seems the most reliable for now.
regards jelly
Are you using WDS with WPA-PSK and TKIP or AES?Quote:
