I know, but the bogomips are lower than my wl-500w!:p

just got my own rt-n16...
and it's quite good so far, alltough I think the firmware can be improved:p
list of processes:
and yes the download master still uses rtorrent to download torrents, still rather slow than normal... BUT faster than the wl-500 series.PHP Code:PID Uid VSZ Stat Command

disk speeds I tested so far with a 6GB SD card (with 20/15 mb/s speeds)
all under windows 7 64bit final version, ftp and samba didn't differ in speed... ftp was usually worse than samba.

QoS should be turned off because it just kills your speed on anything...
to make it "off" just don't use it, completely empty all settings... kinda fail from asus :p
Can someone measure the actual power consumption of the RTN16?
I am interested in how much more it consumes than a wl500gp. The wl500gp consumes about 7 watt...
I just ordered mine through Newegg for $99USD shipped (they sold out within 24 hours of having them!).
Could you please do aplz?Code:cat /proc/cpuinfo
also perhaps aandCode:wl bands

First thing I do when I get it is flash with DD-WRT mini-asus.trx (2.4 kernal) and backup the CFE to send to the devs.
I'm so glad it has a JTAG on it!
cpuinfo:
I can confirm the suspicion on the chinese forums: http://neture.homeip.net/digiland/vi...php?id=882&p=1PHP Code:system type : Broadcom BCM4716 chip rev 1

they probably gave the cpu a different tag... since the bord looks exactly the same as on the pictures in post 1, as far as I could see trough the holes.
which means there is no extra chip for usb, so it must be a BCM4718... unless I overlooked the via chip:p

Has anyone that's received one of these routers tried to upload DD-WRT mini-asus.trx through the FW restoration Utility? This will allow you to run a Busybox shell so we can get more info for the dev's...
Hell, I tink OpenWRT has the 2.6 kernel FW's for this unit..?
neither works for me lly:confused:
I'm just using the Main_AdmStatus_Content.asp page to execute commands:p
and I'm not going to upload any other firmware than oleg... especially not when there are no positive results out there for this router.;)
I'm not trying to make you rush lly, just keep on going:p;)
Sorry, I forgot that original firmware doesn't has "dd" command. Just useAnyway, I has this image already :pCode:cat /dev/mtd0 >/tmp/cfe.bin
btw., Some people who can't want wait our release, opens telnet in original FW - RT-N16 + telnet (automatic translate from Russian)
thanks lly, I love telenet:p
here another mirror from me: http://wpte.kicks-ass.net/downloads....download_id=12
no waiting for that one ;)
anyway, the long awaited code::cool:

Without any parameters, the 'help' command will display a summary
of available commands. For more details on a command, type 'help'
and the command name.
Activates and configures the specified Ethernet interface and sets its
IP address, netmask, and other parameters.

100hdx,1000fdx,1000hdx)|-loopback=*;Sets the loopback mode (off, internal, external) External
loopback causes the phy to be placed in loopback mode|-hwaddr=*;Sets the hardware address (overrides environment)
Without any parameters, the arp command will display the contents of the
arp table. With two parameters, arp can be used to add permanent arp
entries to the table (permanent arp entries do not time out)may be * to delete all entries.
This command sends an ICMP ECHO message to a remote host and waits for
a reply. The network interface must be configured and operational for
this command to work. If the interface is configured for loopback mode
the packet will be sent through the network interface, so this command
can be used for a simple network test.
This command loads an executable file into memory, but does not
execute it. It can be used for loading data files, overlays or
other programs needed before the 'boot' command is used. By
default, 'load' will load a raw binary at virtual address 0x20000000.m number of bytes to load (raw only)|-addr=*;Specify the load address (hex) (raw only)
This command loads and executes a program from a boot device
By default, 'boot' will load a raw binary at virtual
address 0x20000000 and then jump to that address only)|-addr=*;Specify the load address (hex) (raw only)|-noclose;Don't close network link before executing program
The 'go' command will start a program previously loaded with
the 'load' command. You can override the start address byspecifying it as a parameter to the 'go' command.
This command loads and executes a batch file from a boot deviceBCM47XX SYSTEM RESET!!!

just want to note something...
samba uses about 10% cpu per megabyte per second
and right now it's only using 10%... kinda under optimized imo:p
lly, is there going to be EXT4 support? the faster, safer format?:p
