That's around 172.74 euro...
In the beginning the RT-N16 had the same price pretty much:)

Noup, 239$ when it comes to europe it stays almost the same price 239€ ~ with taxes, convert 94.22$ from the RT-N16 and see how many € are, 69€ can you buy it that price? No you can't :D RT-N16 costs in Europe 100€ ~
RT-N66U will cost more than 200€ i bet 220-230€ :D
Anyway 82.90 is not 69€ bahh. You will see when it come out don't expect less than 200€. RT-N16 has a great price in your country, are you talking about store or retailer? Where you buy that price? Here the lowest price is 94€, like i said before is the same as 94 dolars. It was always like that, at least in my country.
true, but it's not that much more;)
I primarily use this dutch site when buying computer parts. not only they have news and a forum, they also have a pricewatch. many webshops are signed up with it since its also a very good way to make money themselves:p
http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/242860/asus-rt-n16.html
it's the biggest tech site in the Netherlands, and every month they get 3.5 million unique visits, from a country that has only ~16 million people:p
Yeah i we have a site like that here too, its a price compare web site.
I don't know if you noticed this "ASUS RT-N66U ==> ULTRA-THIN <== ROUTER, maybe this is the "other" RT-N66U and price either. :D
What would be you guess about the price of it then?
Sounds like a black diamon version?:o
dunno
I mean these prices are just from sites that can pretty much ask anything for it because they know people want it:p
In the end, I do expect it to be around 150 euro for a start, the black diamond one.
The ROG label makes everything more expensive tho. Still there is no info about the actual perks of getting an ROG version. (apart from the 1GB ram guess)
It might be even possible that asus is giving us 2 designs to choose from:confused:
who knows:p

Now the router has 128MB great :D Maybe when it comes out has 64MB... LOL
First tests:
with beta firmware:
LAN to WAN - 510mbps
WAN to LAN - 548mbps
2.4ghz down - 56mbps
5ghz down - 89mbps
no time to test vpn
What a disapointment, RT-N56U has almost the double benchmarking with Ralink CPU 500MHZ or even Linksys E4200 with same same CPU from RT-N16 (BCM4718), weird stuff. :S

well... it's still beta firmware.
according to the broadcom specs the hardware nat should be able to reach ~900mbits
wifi sounds solid.
lol, and that fan is just epic:D
dd-wrt developers still confirm it's 256MB ram tho:rolleyes:
They have different kernels and drivers...
TheMir0n also worked on something called FastNat (originally made by broadcom). It speeds up the lan-wan a lot: http://code.google.com/p/wl500g/wiki/News
it has some compatebility issues tho, but most of them should be fixedQuote:
fast-nat module (originally from Broadcom, use 'nvram set misc_fastnat_x=0' to disable it)
The RT-N66U also appeared on icecat: http://www.icecat.nl/index.cgi?langu...p_text=rt-n66u
Only the logistical data has been imported.
Funny thing is that a dutch shop sells it for 135 euro: https://maxict.nl/product/3288267/as...50mbit-gigabit
That online shop is considered to be relative expensive (averagely) compared to other stores here:p
Going to ask them when they expect it to arrive:)
