I don't understand why it chooses OV511 decompression despite it's an OV518+?
Why doesn't is use the OV518 decompression (included in Oleg's firmware)?
Image is totally unrecognizable "undecoded noise" . I assume it's caused by choosing wrong decompression routine.
Any idea?

Rats... I have 3 Cams and not a single one works...
D.
I suppose your webcam will never work with ASUS router. In fact, there are two very different cams, named Logitech QC Orbit/Sphere and looking very similar (only internal plate differ). Old one, worked over Philips proprietary protocol and supported by pwc[x].o driver, and new one, working over open UVC protocol. UVC support in Linux is a new thing and seems it will not work for old 2.4 kernels. Look here for more details:
http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/
When writing about Philips and Logitech webcams, please, give their P/N and/or USB VID/PID.
It is really hard to find recent cam, that is supported by this old 2.4 kernel. If anybody knows - write here, please.
I'm out to buy one of the webcam's that work. Here is the list of all known working cams at the moment. Handy for you guy's who want to do the same..

Hi,
according to this forum the Logitech Sphere is working. I can also read that there are different Spere models out in the market.
Does anyone know if the lastest Sphere AF model is working with the ASUS WL500gP V2 router? It's a webcam with pan/tilt function.
