Actually I'm a little bit confused about the amount of the many different Firmware versions (1.7.5.x, 1.8.1.x, 9.8.1.2).
I use FW 1.7.5.6-3 (Oleg) and I need mainly: ADSL-WAN, DHCP-LAN, DHCP-WLAN, RAW-Printing, Virtual Server List
I'm wondering if and when what Firmware is suggested to update to?. I guess 1.7.5.9 CR3 [Oleg].
Maybe also someone can give me suggestions about this my problem Bug in 1.7.5.6-3: NAT Setting - Virtual Server List (Del)?
the New firmware seems not stable enough. if i use the Bittorrent to download, the router seems restarting with the IE using. when i tried to connect router using IP address, management webpages always can't come out . at that moment, restarting began, the terrible thing--it loops. i have to power off the router and cable modem, then restart , let them back to normal.
is this happening too when using firmware 1.8.1.3 ?Quote:

Oleg, if you want to add it to the distribution (I've put it into your build system correctly, and all it requires is the bpalogin binary and an /init/rc.bpalogin script), then send me a Private Message.Quote:

See http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=717 for a patch which corrects the Australian timezones.
[The problems exists in the standard firmware too, can anyone forward the patch onto Asus?]

Rod, check your mail. Your patches will be accepted. Right now I'm reinstalling everything on my laptop after the harddisk crash and replacement.
