crosscompiling open3600 project

Hi everyone.
Is possible crosscompile open3600 project into asus? on that page is binary compied to intel 80386.
my project is make independent wheather station ( WL500g+ usb hub+webcam+flash disk +usb serial reduction + gprs external (com) modem + usb serial reduction ws-3600 station) all work!, except geting data from ws-3600 station i cannot find any program which take data from com and return is back...open3600 is solution but isnt compiled to mips.
Will someone compile it into ipkg format?
Source code can be downloaded but i have not experience with linux compiling i folow how to http://www.macsat.com/macsat/content/view/30/29/
but now i do not know what to do :/

If someone help i will create how to tutorial "My own wheather station remote"

There is also possibility for native compilation with optware-devel metapackage.

I compiled source code open3600 inside asus WL500g as you say but now i have next problem, binary file uses com port for obtaining data from wheatherstation i using usb>serial reduction i have both types which is supported in oleg firmware.
kernel find reduction and make /dev/usb/tty/2(1) i set path to port in conf file set debug level to 5 and run
./log3600 ./log.log ./open3600.conf

debug message stops there "open_weatherstation" that is all :/

I try compile that in mandriva 2007 same reduction and run. This work, but not in asus. :/

Have someone any idea what try now? if yes pls post is.

Result is same :/ i thing problem is in source code..but i do not know how program serial communication..external gprs serial modem works fine.
This one no. can i debug running proces inside router? Or how i can see some activity of running process?

You can use gdb which is included inside buildoot package.

did you manage to create mips ipkg packets from x86 sources. how ?
did you find any tutorial that works ? i wanna add more packets to wl500 and i can't find them on the repository.
