Inside or behind? Behind is no problem, no special settings required.
If you want to run it ON the wl-500g ...you have a problem since they don't have the sources available to download. And the version they have for linux is for x86 platform, not mipsel.
Inside... :-(Quote:

Thanks!
openvpn, available via ipkg. At least I think that will do it, tho it will be not as easy to configure)
For ipkg tutorial visit www.macsat.com
Thanks for your reply, TheEagle, I will try it.Quote:

If you wanted to say that your wl-500g is behind another router, then this router needs to forward the necessary ports (if i read it right it's only one TCP or UDP port) to the wl-500g.
I have to say I never tried openVPN, all I tell you hear is what I heard/read about somewhere else. Can't really help you with specific problems.
Yes, my router is behind another router. But the problem is I cannot configure them (port forwarding as you said) because of it's not mine, it is ISP device.Quote:

Kind of strange setup you have there ... could you describe it more in detail? Why you get a private IP from a ISP?
Got another idea (pretty sure won't work too but ... ask the hamachi guys to make a binary for a mipsel machine ... dunno if it's possible but hey you never know ... it could open them a new market :) )
It is wireless connection (antenna on roof of a building, then some device installed by ISP – probably router with DHCP server – which is wirelessly connected to internet) distributed to flats via ethernet cable. Cable is in my flat connected to WAN port of my router (ASUS). Dynamic address is provided by their DHCP server each 10 minutes - they are crazy :eek:Quote:

I have talked about port forwarding with my ISP and finally he said yes. Seems to my problem can be solved. Just study OpenVPN a try to install it on my WL500g...
