tftp from linux

What am I doing wrong here?

mecheng@owenlaptop:~/Desktop$ tftp 192.168.1.1
tftp> put openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx
Sent 1984700 bytes in 2.2 seconds
tftp> quit

The router just blinks the Blue Light at me. I have loaded this firmware from windows and it works fine???
