oleg latest firmware and ftp server..

Hi:

i've oleg latest firmware on my asus wl-500gP. Samba is working, but for some reason i can't understand, the ftp server is not working. Can anyone tell me how to put it working?

Hi there,

if seen you are struggling with stupid-ftpd conf file with multi-user and multi-homedirs.
Best to do is start stupid-ftpd with a different config file.


Copy the stupid-ftpd.conf from /etc to /opt/etc
Disable ftp in the web interface
and add

stupid-ftpd -f /opt/etc/stupid-ftpd.conf
to your post-boot file.

Now stupid-ftpd will start with an alternative conf file in which you can specify users and homedirs.
