Bekijk de volledige versie : How to set up 802.1x auth towards WAN(EATHERNET)

My internet service provider requires 802.1x authentication over ethernet (PEAP+MSCHAP). I have found some postings on this forum on how to set up wpa-psk on the WLAN interface, but have not been able to adapt that to use the WAN interface instead.

Can anyone help me, or at least point me in the right direction?

Greatly appreciated!

Hardware: Asus WL-500g Premium with Oleg's firmware.

Did you find a solution?

My last conclusions was that the Xsupplicant and wpa_supplicant are broken in regards to supporting the wan interface, probably to save space when being portet to this platform (Whiterussian). I got the installation right, but the athentication process always failed.

Do tell me if you get this working!

Mikhako, VillMan - did you find any solution since then?

p.s. One of my friends has 802.1X over ethernet with MD-5 challenge at provider's side and in fact he can not use any wirelless decision in this situation, that is frustrating. I hoped that Wl500g could help him, but accidentally found that Wl500g also did not support this...
