Cannot surf wirelessly

I was able to install Oleg's firmware and follow all the modifications and was able to install ctorrent, samba etc.

i did this over putty so wireless was configiured.

can anyone tell me why i cannot browse the web over wifi? i tried to ping a couple of pages using the router and i am sure it is connected. do i have to configure something else?

just to add.. i tried to flash the iptables then the router just hangs..

help pls. i'm running in router operation and my isp is dhcp. i'm sure i'm close but my laptop just can't connect to the net.
