Has anybody ever actually got a EXT2 formatted drive working on this router?? I have a Seagate 750gb i really need to get going on here and it doesn't seem to work at all. It's plugged into an external usb 2.0 enclosure. If i format the drive into 4 equal FAT32 partitions, it works fine and router sees the drive and everything. But when formatted to EXT2 in one big partition, the router refuses to see the drive at all. Even if i split the partitions up the same way i did with the FAT32's, still a no go. I am using paragon partition manager 8 and powerquest partition magic 8 in windows to prep the hard drive, neither program seems to do the trick. I was wondering if anyone has actually got the storage under EXT2 successfully working on this thing.

I'm new in linux.
Why you not use EXT3 ?
What is the different?

you can't use ext3 because the router only supports fat32 and ext2. I might add that i've used gparted as well (linux based) to make a ext2 partition and it still doesn't!! I smell rma soon..

For ext3 on oleg mke2fs -j /dev/disk/disk0/....

For true ext2 unpack http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/oleg/cross/stable/firmware-oleg_1.9.2.7-7f-4_mipsel.ipk

Works fine for me.
"USB storage: ext2 fs mounted to /tmp/harddisk/part0"

You can also format with Partition Magic in EXT2. No need to "learn" Linux.
