Hi,
I have a digital TV card in my computer and a video recorder software using a timer for automatic TV recording every day at the same time.

To use this my computer must be switched on all the time.

My question is: Is there a tool/package/utility for the WL-HDD that I can use the WL-HDD to send a "Wake on Lan" magic packet to e.g. startup my computer 10 minutes before the timer begins to record?

Automatich shutdown for the computer is no problem.

Thanks for your ideas!

You can use wakelan or ether-wake.

If you are running Windows and your PC supports standby or hibernation modes you can use the task scheduler to reactivate on your computer.
