Bekijk de volledige versie : Loosing Packets

Hi all.
I`ve just bought a new WL-500gP router, set it up and... It works but not as good as it should. I tried pinging and it appears that it looses about 10% packets even between my PC and router and losses are even more if i ping any outter server. When i connect WAN cable directly to my PC, ping with the same server is 100% perfect.
Any ideas? :(

Which firmware version is installed ?.
Version did give me the same problem + problems with lost connection to a USB storage. Version works perfect for me.

Why such a different number?

That is very stanges. (and maybe the reason for the problems).
The newest official firmware from Asus, for a wl-500g Premium router, starts with 1.9.7.x, so I would recommend you to install version

Hm.. strange but I can`t find that version anywhere. I`d be VERY greatfull if you send it to vvv_95@mail.ru :)

Try this first:

set filter to: "Wireless","AP/Router","WL-500gP"

You will get one device "wl500gp".

Select "All" and you can find version

Following the documentation for installing a "new" firmware version using "Firmware Restoration" procedure.
(The upgrade though the browser interface does not work 100%)

The docu. can be found at the same place.

If that does not help, I will mail you the firmware.
