Bekijk de volledige versie : BTG (bittorrent daemon + WebUI) Package?

I found it at: http://btg.berlios.de/

it seems to be a promising (and cool) solution for Bittorrent Download system for Router :D Can anyone try to package this?

Boost Library (I found it in NSLU2 index)
libtorrent (also on NSLU2!)
gnutls (also on NSLU2!)
PHP5 + XML, Zlib extension

should be better than running torrentflux which use python based bit tornado.

I'd be interested too.
The libtorrent C++ library BTG uses claims to be cpu and memory efficient and supports trackerless torrents.

Just a thought.
You're both aware of Transmission? (a daemon with web GUI that downloads torrents which actually works on the asus)

Not that this is uncool (GUI looks promising, absolutely!), but just to mention it, because I have the idea you're both 'just looking for a way to download torrents', and this functionality already exists (search board for Transmission).

I use enhanced-cTorrent now and considered switching to Transmission because it has more features.
But BTG supports trackerless torrents (DHT) which means that you will be able to connect to more peers, even when the tracker is down.
I have read some discussion on a Transmission forum about adding DHT support but have no clue if anyone is working on it.

BTG seems to be an interesting alternative but since I have no experience in porting and building application to Olegs firmware. Therefore I am a bit reluctant to try it myself.

Or you could use rtorrent (also based on libtorrent).

Hi Ovydake,

The torrent library rTorrent uses is a different library with the same name...
But thanks for the tip: I found a patch to rTorrent to include DHT support!
Unfortunately the Oleg OptWare package does not include it (at least that's what I think).

Must get me a working compiler someday :-)

Any news on BTG or more in general on bittorrent with DHT support?

Hi everybody?
So, still no DHT for us router-maniacs?

The SVN version of rtorrent has DHT.
See http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/wiki/RTorrentUsingDHT
I hope there will be a stable release soon.
Or maybe someone can package the SVN version?

The package rtorrent_0.7.9+r1027-1_mipsel.ipk has been added to http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/oleg/cross/stable/
It is the SVN version that includes DHT.
Works very well :)
