Epson Stylus Photo R800 printing problem

Hi.

I cannot get my R800 to print anything. Going through the Printer Setup, it finds the printer -> I enter 192.168.1.1 and try to print a test page, but nothing happens. I currently run on Firmware 1.8.1.9 and have Epson driver v5.50.

I have read a thread on a printer.o file. This is reffered to another Firmware version. I also found that this worked for the R300. Will this work for me aswell?

Please note that I'm no expert.

try one of the latest custom firmwares e.g. 1.7.5.9CR5

also read carefully how to set up printport (this one is using another printserver)

It seem to print fine with the new Firmware. What did you mean by "also read carefully how to set up printport (this one is using another printserver)." Could something be wrong even though it's printing ok?
