Hey, just came across this forum while I was looking for some info on my router (the WL500g) and to be honest I hope you can help me... because I'm a bit lost

Basically I want to be able to block a specific MAC address from doing, well, anything really. After digging around the forum a bit I came across this thread (http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=7333&highlight=mac+filter) where a user wants to do the same thing I do and ends up in the same position; I can enable the MAC filter and add the MAC address (without any separation between pairs of characters, which is weird but hey, I can't type them all if I use the separators so...) and all I get is a few minutes of erratic behaviour, presumably while it reboots, and then it's business as usual - filter be damned.

So I turn to you; how can I specifically prevent one computer from accessing the network? That thread up there talks about IP blocking; I can do that, since I control the IP that computer is assigned for all practical purposes, and I can simply have it be static. Thing is, where do I do it? How does it work?

BTW, I'm using firmware version 1.9.2.7 on the WL500g.

Thanks! :)
