I messed up big time now.

Everything went smoothly up unitll I changed some user account settings.

Now I can't open certain web pages from the WL700 interface. I just get a blank page. (Disk management, Applications). I tried to flash the memory back to the original asus firmware but that didin't solve the problem.

The way of work in this thread (http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=7431) doesn't work because I can't get to the webpage with the different users.

Any body has any idea on how I can reformat the internal hard drive or get the webpage back fully operational?

Thanks

I assume that I have a problem with the hard drive root password. I can only access the webpage a couple of times and after a few attempts to access the Applications and Disk Management pages (which are always complete blank !!), I can't even get access to the Configuration page (http://192.168.1.1/status.asp).

So I can't format the hard drive, I don't have any access to telnet and I lose my connection to the Configuration page... any idea's?

The webservice isn't running because I can't connect to.

I have access to ftp, but only through an anonymous connection so with no rights at all. I can only see the shares folder. There are also no visible folders in the shares folder, and I can't write to it. The login of the admin password has apparently changed??!!

I flashed the router 3 times with the latest ASUS version. Wouldn't this normally also reset the complete installation of the access rights and settings of the os ?

I'm fucked, not ? If anybody has any ideas, please feel free to spit them out.

have you tried hard reseting the box? keep reset pressed 10+ seconds and let it boot.

how do you update the firmware? if you use the asus web solution try:
http://www.wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=6552

the big problem i guess is that you can't telnet into the box and look at /etc/passwd since your webservice is not running...

anyways try the above
