Is this possible?

Hi there,

I was wondering if its not possible to modify a firmware for this router with all features disabled and more focused only in networking.

A simple but realiable firmware for those of us who only want performance. I would like to use that 300MHz cpu and 64MB ram only for performance wise, rather than automated downloading and features like those, that in my opinion are only resource consuming...

This router with its specs, and a basic firmware (QoS well defined), would be a killer in performance!:D :D

If you read the other threads on this forum including the one that stands out the most "custom Firmware 1.0.4.6" you will see that it is possible to modify a firmware.
Most people on this forum want to add more features to the router not less.
I think you should check out the other threads, you can disable a lot of features and with the custom firmware you can even spin down the hard-drive.
