Hi there,
i have ASUS WL500g DELUXE router. To this router i have connected two computers via wireless. If i want to download some files from one computer to secondone i have problem with speed. Cause my speed is about 500Kb/s.I thing it is too slow. How much it should be. I thought, that if it is 54Mbit/s router i have to have something about 6MB/s transfer speed. Is it true or am I wrong? Can any one help me?
Thanx for any help.

What kind of wireless adapters are your computers using ?
I had big troubles with Intel 2200BG adapters, not only with the WL500 but also with a Netgear AP...

yep, using notebook with Intel 2200BG
SImple trick, did you try to change the channel?
Move your router to an other location ?
I have a Marvell Libertas adapter to, originally it was from Trendnet but i had best results with the Marvell drivers.
Note that encryption might also slow down your speed....
