I am running a WL-500Gp unit with ASUS FW 1.9.7.2 and external USB disk. The unit logs to memory, and web interface allows log activity to be done on a PC but I would prefer to log on the USB disk. Is this possible ? How ?

My ISP offers poor service  and often adsl & phone are down. I want to use the log as an evidence of these breaks. Memory log is lost when wl500gp is rebooted.

Restart syslogd with your desired options.

Thanks, it worked, here is the command that I've used in the hidden admin page (after creating /tmp/logs folder in the usb disk):

syslogd -O /tmp/harddisk/part0/tmp/logs/mylog
