Hello all,

I cannot surf the web freely since my company has a WWW filtering program to block most of the internet websites :-(. I`ve tried some free internet proxies, but they do not work so fine. I think that a good idea is to use our fantastic router to act as Proxy or similar. So, I would request the WWW to the router that would return the contents preventingthe filter.

Has anybody the same problem ?
Which is the best proxy to install in the router ? do you any alternatice method to do the same ?

Thank you very much in advance.

Can you describe a little bit more your scenario?

Are you browsing from you working place and you try to get web pages served by your router at home?

If this is the case, I would think of opening a VPN tunnel from work to the router at home. Should your Company has a good firewal, you may find problems to get through it with a VPN connection.

Here (http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=5312) you go an OpenVPN howto.

You unveiled my curiosity and i kept searching on the subject. I have found this nice tutorial :

Should also work with the WL500, as it is capable of running SSH. maybe i'm to optimistic, but i'll give this a try later this week !
